Guangzhou is one of the most representative cities stands for diversity in China. Over the past century, historical changes have shaped the city of what it is today. In GuangZhou, there are lots of western-style architecture built in the era of Republic of China, while these architecture becomes a symbol of art and the flavor of everyday life nowadays.

‘Time Traveller’ is an interactive installation that leads audience experience the transformation of time and space. The interactive projection on the wall, and the linkage design of the gravity sensor under the swing allows audience to experience to changing scene when swinging. Swinging symbolises memory and childhood, the act of swinging drives people reflect on the past and considers their relationship with the change of city.

The work is designed with sensory linkage between swinging and urban images on screen, it allows participants to experience the joy of swinging while appreciate the changing scene of the diversified city.
